Adopt-a-Child Project

“A Cohort Intervention Program by giving financial aid to less fortunate students”

Through the years Adopt-a-Child Program of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department is the avenue for the Bayanihan and Kalinga among teachers, stakeholders, and selected students at San Roque National High School. Adopt-a-Child was launched in June 2010 at San Roque National High School initiated by the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department. With the help of the class advisers, students were selected who belongs to a family who lacks the capacity to support their financial educational needs yet diligent and persevering in their studies.

This project was created to help the less fortunate students in reaching their dreams through a small amount of financial aid. Through the help of this project, the students were able to continue their studies and be able to finish it until graduation. The school as part of the community has the privilege and opportunity to help these students in their problem and misfortune in life. Support is much more needed in this time of pandemic. Now more than ever Adopt-a-Child Program will be of service to reach out for these deserving students. As a teacher and stakeholder this program will be a good opportunity and the greatest avenue for sharing and giving a portion of blessings that we are receiving. We know that this program makes a difference in our students’ life as they feel appreciated, supported, and loved by their sponsors. As the popular song goes, “Walang sinuman ang nabubuhay para sa Sarili lamang. Tayong lahat ay may pananagutan sa isa’t isa” and this song is truly suited in the Rationale of the program.
